Any booking WHETHER CONFIRMED VERBALLY, ELECTRONICALLY OR IN WRITING will be a legally binding contract subject to the following non- negotiable terms and conditions of booking:
TERMS CONDITIONS
In these terms and conditions the term “We” refers to Brown's Hypnotherapy & Steven Brown. On booking your appointment you will be given confirmation of costs, cancellation policy, payment details, etc which you should read and make sure you are happy with. Along with your payment, you will be asked to give your contact details. This will then form an agreement between you and Brown’s Hypnotherapy for your therapy.
THERAPY
If you are attending Brown’s Hypnotherapy for the first time or if you are trying a new service you will be entitled to a FREE 20 Minute consultation, either online via a video platform or in-person. This is so that relevant information and history can be acquired to help create an effective treatment plan. Upon accepting to start your therapy with Brown’s Hypnotherapy you will be required to fill out a consent form along with agreeing to these terms and conditions.
Successful sessions rely on your commitment and motivation. When you agree to partake in your therapy sessions, you, as the client are considered “co-therapist”, which means you agree to be fully involved and committed to the process, which may include self-work if necessary. This also includes attending your sessions and arriving on time. You accept that treatment is offered on the basis of the information you supply, which you represent and warrant to be complete and truthful. Ongoing sessions will always be discussed with you and you will have the right to express your preferences regarding your treatment plan and timeframe. As we are dealing with behavioural changes please expect anywhere between 3 - 8 sessions for effective treatment. You are free to end or withdraw from therapy at any time. The cost of any sessions paid for in advance but not used will be refunded on request, subject to my cancellation policy (described below). Refunds will reflect the actual price paid if special offers have been used.
SESSIONS
Your hypnotherapy session will last approximately 1 hour unless it's your Free Introductory Consultation which will only last between 20 - 30 minutes. Please allow yourself enough time for this. If you are getting collected please make sure that your lift arrives on time as the premises may need to be closed at the end of your session. If you are running late, please let us know as soon as possible by calling the office.
We will do our best to make a full session available, but this often depends on appointments subsequent to
your booking and so cannot be guaranteed. If your session needs to be curtailed due to your late arrival then the
session fee remains payable in full.
Your session will take place at Brown's Hypnotherapy unless stated otherwise. Zoom hypnosis and home visits are
also available in some circumstances. Home visits will require additional fees due to transportation costs. Please
enquire for more details if you require this.
With pain management sessions, if you wish to reduce or stop any medication then medical support must be obtained. This appointment does not replace medical advice and assistance. You will be accepting full responsibility for turning the pain off and advised to take note of any new pain, if it arises, and seek medical attention.
FEES
Fees are variable depending on the nature of your issue. Discounts are sometimes available for students and
pensioners. Please enquire to find out if you are eligible for a discount. The fee will be agreed upon before your first
session. Payment methods are through our secure online portal.
CANCELLATION POLICY
We appreciate at least 24- hours notice if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, so that we may offer it to someone else. The charge for sessions cancelled with less than 24-hours notice will be up to 50% of the full session fee. If you have already paid the session in full, you will be refunded 50% within 30 working days (not including weekends). Any cancellations prior to the 24 hour cut off period will be refunded in full. If you wish to cancel then please phone, email or go to your account that you used to make the booking and cancel from there immediately.
Brown's Hypnotherapy reserves the right to cancel an appointment at their sole discretion, this will only be in exceptional circumstances and as much notice as is possible will be given. Brown's Hypnotherapy shall not be liable for any financial or other consequences of the cancellation. A “no show” will attract a charge of 100% of the arranged fee.
REFUND POLICY
Brown's Hypnotherapy services are not eligible for refunds as the time has been allocated. However, we may offer a free session if there was an issue or concern with the session. The hypnotherapist facilitates change by guiding the use of hypnotic suggestions. The hypnotherapist cannot control or force the client to change or do anything they do not want to do. At the end of each hypnotherapy session, the hypnotherapist will ask if the client is satisfied. If the client feels doubt or apprehension during or immediately following a hypnotherapy session, it is in the client’s best interest to communicate with the hypnotherapist as soon as possible.
If the hypnotherapist has any concerns throughout the client session, the concerns will be discussed with the client to determine the recommended course of treatment. The client has the option to take the recommendation or to not go ahead with future sessions. If the client has paid in advance for hypnotherapy sessions, the client has the option to not go ahead and the client will be refunded the amount that was paid in advance.
Although Brown's Hypnotherapy has had great results, results cannot be guaranteed and may vary based on the mindset of the client, the desire to change and the commitment to follow instructions during and after the session.

RECORDINGS & NOTES
During your FREE Introductory Consultation you’ll be asked to sign a form to consent to the use of recording devices
during the sessions. You can withdraw this consent at anytime.
The recordings (if agreed to) are for Brown’s Hypnotherapy use only and will be used to improve the hypnotists abilities and also to aid in the use of case notes for each session. If you’d like a copy of the recordings you can speak with Steven and he will send them to you in an encrypted folder. All recordings will be deleted after 4 weeks from completion of the therapy.
On the odd occasion it may be the case that you may be asked whether it would be possible to keep keep a recording or your case notes for teaching/reflective purposes. If this were to be the case, Brown’s Hypnotherapy will speak directly with you first and will not keep anything without your consent and all names and places that could identify you would be redacted.
QUESTIONS OR COMPLAINTS
If you have any questions or complaints about your therapy, you agree to talk to your therapist about them first.
FEEDBACK
After completing your hypnotherapy treatment you will be given a feedback form to complete. This is a great opportunity for you to let Brown’s Hypnotherapy know how you found the sessions and what could be improved upon for other clients and we really value this feedback.
DISCLAIMER
We will always do our best to help you achieve a successful outcome in your therapy. However, you accept that an
agreement to work on an issue does not mean that a particular outcome to therapy can be guaranteed. Fees are
payable for your sessions and the time and expertise of the therapist, regardless of the outcome. Results may differ
from person to person.
